Mega Latios and Mega Latias heading to Pokémon GO
Look to the skies next week
This has been a really big week for Pokémon GO players. Niantic has shared a slew of new details, as well as the launch of a revamped Mega Evolution system. Today the fun continues with the reveal of Mega Latios and Mega Latias, which will be coming to the game soon.

Pokémon Air Adventures
- Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, May 8, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time
Pokémon debuts
Mega Latias and Mega Latios make their Pokémon GO debuts in Mega Raids!
Mist Ball
- Trainer Battles: 120 power and a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s Attack
- Gyms and raids: 105 power
Luster Purge
- Trainer Battles: 120 power and a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s Defense
- Gyms and raids: 100 power
(Latias caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Mist Ball.) (Latios caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Luster Purge.)

Timed Research focused on catching Pikachu and Flying-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event!
Complete the research to earn 50 Latias Mega Energy, 50 Latios Mega Energy, 3,000 XP, and an encounter with Flying Pikachu.

- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
New stickers
You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers from the in-game shop. Ticket holders of Pokémon Air Adventures live event from May 7th to May 8th will be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts.
