If you like a good bargain, then you will be pleased to hear that pre-orders are now open with a 10% discount on all console platforms for Thunderful and Noname Studios’ metroidvania, platforming adventure, Worldless. A previously unannounced “Deluxe Edition’’ of the game is also now available, which includes the game and the soundtrack. The soundtrack features 12 songs crafted by Berlinist, BeGun and Jamie Bermudez created in collaboration with Noname Studios, delivering an ambient, sometimes dark and melancholic, flux of sound.

Worldless is releasing on Switch November 21st at a price of $19.99/€19.99/£15.98 for the Standard Edition, (with a 10% pre-order discount available now on consoles) with the Deluxe Edition being available for $24.99 and the soundtrack available for $9.99 from November 21st.

Worldless is a stylised metroidvania platformer featuring a unique turn-based action combat system, RPG-style upgrades and a compelling high-concept story for players to figure out for themselves. The game’s combat requires the strategy typically associated with turn-based systems, but adds an element of real-time action thanks to timing-based elements when defending and combining attacks. An intricate skill tree adds new layers to combat encounters, as well as opening up new avenues for you to explore the game’s atmospheric world.

Worldless is set at a time where the rules of existence remain undefined. In this abstract setting, players will discover entities with opposing goals. One half is fixated on the virtue of their nature, the other is seeking to exchange it for their demise. This inevitably thrusts them into conflict as they battle for transcendence and you will find yourself embroiled in that fight, left to interpret the game’s mysterious narrative and its themes of growth and understanding for yourself.
