The most recent issue of Famitsu had a massive blowout on Persona 5 Tactica, including a lengthy interview with the developers. Some interesting tidbits have been gleaned from that interview, and you can see a summary of the finer points below.

  • the game will have friendly fire on difficulties higher than Hard
  • friendly fire was initially in Normal difficulty as well
  • the devs felt this was too hard, so they moved the feature to Hard and Merciless
  • Hard and Merciless difficulties could be considered similar to the infamous default difficulties of Atlus games of the past
  • Akechi has a skill that will allow a character who has finished their turn to act again
  • Kasumi will have an ability that grants her infinite movement range for one turn

Persona 5 Tactica comes to Switch on Nov. 17th, 2023. After a strange incident, the Phantom Thieves wander into a bizarre realm where its citizens are living under tyrannical oppression. Surrounded by a military group named Legionnaires, they find themselves in grave danger until a mysterious revolutionary named Erina rescues them and offers an enticing deal in exchange for their help. I'm gonna play on the easiest difficulty since I suck at TRPGs, thank you very much.
