Ed Boon Reveals Michonne from The Walking Dead was considered as a guest for Mortal Kombat 1
From one Kirkman creation to another!
Omni-Man has been available in Mortal Kombat 1 for a while now but Ed Boon revealed on Twitter/X that the twisted superhero wasn’t his first pick of Robert Kirkman’s characters to make it into the game.
For those unaware, Michonne comes from the Walking Dead series, meaning she would have stood out from the rest of the Kombat Packs superpowered guests. While Boon doesn’t go into detail on why Omni-Man was picked over Michonne it’s very likely the highly anticipated release of Invincible Season 2 had something to do with it.
Given the potential for more Mortal Kombat 1 DLC it’s possible that Michonne could have her chance in the sun someday.
