Famitsu's most-wanted games for May 1st, 2022
Xenoblade hype train has entered
Each issue of Famitsu provides us with the results of their “Most Wanted” feature, which is a reader poll to see what games people are chomping at the bit to play.
The top 30 games from this week’s issue have been revealed, and Bayonetta 3 is once again the top Switch title, coming in at #2 overall, while Xenoblade Chronicles 3 moves up and takes the second spot in terms of Switch titles, third spot overall. Read on below to see the top 30 overall, with votes being cast between April 14th to April 20th, 2022.

What? 13 sold over 1million first week, and 15 and 7R around 700k in a time where digital is a lot higher, so much that 15 broke the record for highest selling day one digital sales at the time. Those are still extremely high numbers for Japan with most games selling a fraction of that.
For perspective, Xenoblade 1 Wii debuted at around 83k, Xenoblade 2 at around 98k, and Xenoblade 1 Switch around 90k. Their lifetime sales even never come close to FF day one sales.
