A Plague Tale: Requiem has been available on all platforms for over a year now, and that includes Switch. While Switch owners only have access to a Cloud version of A Plague Tale: Requiem, anyone who’s fired up the game on Nintendo’s system counts towards a new player milestone just announced by the game’s publisher.

Focus Entertainment has revealed that 3 million players have jumped into A Plague Tale: Requiem to continue the journey of Amicia and Hugo. The game managed to reach 1 million players 2 weeks after launch, so tripling that figure in a year’s time seems like a pretty notable achievement.

What we don’t know is how many units of A Plague Tale: Requiem have been sold. There’s no doubt a big piece of the 3 million players experienced the game through services like Game Pass, but 3 million players is still something to applaud no matter how those players interacted with the game.
