NES rom hacker Infidelity has completed a great project: breaking the original Metroid from the confinement of the NES console and bringing it to the SNES!
This port aims to be a 1:1 version but with the benefits of almost no slowdown, better sound and more. The ROM has everything set as default so you get the original experience, however, Infidelity has included a patch that aims to provide some quality of life adjustments like creating 3 separate save files and giving use to the extra buttons from the SNES controller.
