Tis the season for Pikmin to bloom
As the Northern Hemisphere approaches the depth of the winter, many of us have broken out gloves and scarves in order to stay warm during our walks. The Pikmin seem to have caught on to the trend, too, as for the 2023 Pikmin Bloom Holiday Event, the game will not only welcome back the 3 existing types of Mitten Decor Pikmin who already appeared last year, but there will also be 4 new types!
As a special surprise, this holiday event will also feature Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin, who made an original appearance in December 2021! Don’t miss this chance to grow your squad! The Pikmin Bloom 2023 Holiday Event runs from Dec. 6th to 27th, 2023, and you can see complete details below.
Clear Event Challenge missions to obtain seedlings for Mitten Decor Pikmin
For every Event Challenge mission that you clear, you’ll be able to obtain rewards at random. These can be Gingerbread Cookies, seedlings that grow into Mitten Decor Pikmin, flower petals, or other items. Additionally, when the Big Flower at the center of the stage blooms, you’re guaranteed to receive a Gold Seedling on top of the random rewards.
Mission for the event will be published here on the day the event starts – stay tuned!
Seedlings obtained through clearing Event Challenge missions will grow into either Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Mitten Decor Pikmin. Please note that you’ll meet them at random and are not guaranteed to complete the whole set.
Collect Gingerbread Cookies to obtain special Mii costumes
Once the event starts, you’ll receive missions (20 in total) requesting you to collect Gingerbread Cookies. By clearing these missions, you’ll be able to obtain special Mii costumes and seedlings for Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin.
Here are the costumes you may be able to obtain through these missions:
Gingerbread Cookies can be obtained from flower planting, Mystery Boxes, as a bonus with the purchase of an Event Premium Pass, and from the Event Challenge Special Pack.
Planting 100 flowers awards 1 Gingerbread Cookie. The total number of Gingerbread Cookies obtained while flower planting will be displayed in the results screen.
The seedlings obtained from clearing these missions grow into Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin at random. Please note that there’s no guarantee that you’ll complete the whole set. Please also note that Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin appear under the “Roadside” category in your Decor Pikmin Collection.
Once the Holiday Event ends, the Gingerbread Cookie missions will disappear. Please note that the Gingerbread Cookies have no purpose outside of this event.

When you purchase a Premium Event Pass, you’ll be able to enjoy the following perks for the duration of the event (December 6th through 27th):
For every stage cleared, you’ll receive extra seasonal nectar that you can put to good use in order to clear event-related tasks!
When you clear the 4th stage, you will receive an additional Gold Seedling for your desired color (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, pink, or gray) of Mitten Decor Pikmin. This applies to the 4th stage and any subsequent stages that are a multiple of 4 (8th, 12th, 16th, etc).
- The Event Premium Pass is available to users from Lv20 onwards.
- The Event Premium Pass won’t be displayed to users at or below Lv19.
- Event Premium Pass rewards apply retroactively for cleared Event Challenge missions, regardless of when you obtain it at the shop.

Event Premium Pass purchases within the first week of the event (until December 12th 23:59 local time) will include Gingerbread Cookies as a bonus.
Please note the early bird bonus will no longer be available after the first week of the event. Destroy Mushrooms to get Mystery Boxes!
During the event, when you destroy mushrooms, you’ll receive Mystery Boxes that contain items such as Gingerbread Cookies, flower petals, and seedlings for Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin, among others.
Dress up for the holidays with limited-time Mii costumes!
During the event, the shop will be offering special costumes for your Mii, both new as well as those that were available last year. Make sure to dress up to add a festive touch to your walks this month! When you purchase this ticket and clear the dedicated mission, you’ll obtain a gold seedling in your desired color (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, pink, or gray) for Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin.
The mission must be completed by February 29 2024 at 23:59.
Complete Ticket: Winter Sticker
This ticket comes with a total of 7 missions. Clearing them all guarantees you’ll meet all Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged and Rock Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin.

When you purchase this ticket and clear the dedicated mission, you’ll obtain a gold seedling in your desired color (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, pink, or gray) for Mitten Decor Pikmin.
The mission must be completed by February 29 2024 at 23:59.
Gold Seedlings obtained from inviting friends and family to play Pikmin Bloom between December 6th and December 31st will grow into Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Mitten Decor Pikmin.
