Nitro Deck Firmware v2 released, adds Adjustable Trigger Points, No Deadzone Mode and more
Big changes for the little device
CRKD has announced the release of Nitro Deck Firmware v2. This update is packed with exciting enhancements and quality-of-life improvements that includes Adjustable Trigger Points, No Deadzone Mode, general system stability improvements & more. It’s important to note that Crystal Collection Nitro Decks come pre-loaded with this version of the firmware so no updates are necessary.
The video above gives a detailed breakdown of what v2 offers Nitro Deck users, but if you want the finer points of this update, you can read them in full below.
WIRED MODE
To prevent accidental interruptions during intense gaming sessions, we’ve revamped the key commands for entering wired mode. Now, simply hold down the (+) button and both thumbsticks for 3 seconds to transition from handheld mode into wired mode.
ADJUSTABLE TRIGGER POINTS
We’ve added a new feature with the introduction of adjustable trigger points for the Nitro Decks hall sensor triggers. Fine-tune the trigger actuation to your liking, catering to different play styles and enhancing your overall gaming experience.
NO DEADZONE MODE
We’re thrilled to unveil the No Deadzone Mode, reducing dead zones for the thumbsticks. It is recommended that you re-calibrate your sticks within the switch settings after entering No Deadzone Mode to optimize your sticks for your gaming sessions.
ADJUSTABLE VIBRATION
We’ve also added another feature with the introduction of adjustable vibration. Turn it off altogether or fine-tune the vibration intensity with micro-adjustments for the left and right sides individually.
IMPROVED MOTION CONTROL
Your Nitro Deck is now more responsive and intuitive than ever, providing a smoother gaming experience across a variety of titles that utilizes motion control.
CRKD LED BRIGHTNESS
In Response to your concerns about the CRKD LED button’s default brightness, we’ve taken action. As a result, we’ve addressed the brightness concern by dimming the default setting, ensuring a more comfortable user experience.
BUG FIXES
General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
As for applying the v2 firmware to your Nitro Deck, that takes a bit of doing. For a step-by-step guide on how to apply this update, check out the official CRKD website.
