Recent datamines of Splatoon 3 suggest that two more gear sets tied to unannounced amiibo figures are coming. The bellow posts by @ashbinary_ on Twitter/X provide more insight into how this information was uncovered.
While Nintendo’s amiibo production isn’t as rampant as it was during the Wii U era, Splatoon is a series that does get a lot of amiibo love if the recently released Deep Cut figures are anything to go by. Giving the coming release of Splatoon 3’s Side Order DLC it would make sense to have amiibo release alongside the campaign just like with Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion.
However, as with all leaked information, take this with a grain of salt. While datamines tend to be pretty accurate for content releases it’s also just as likely that this is placeholder or dummy data that has no impact on Nintendo’s release schedule. It’s also just as likely that the plans for these figures are in place now but may change at a later date.
