Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 reaches 3 million sold

There was a time when Puyo Puyo games were barely localized outside of Japan, and when they were, they had to undergo a complete name change. Thankfully those days are long gone, and we now see that the Puyo Puyo franchise has some serious worldwide appeal.

While there are numerous Puyo Puyo games available on Switch, one of the bigger releases is Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The original collaboration between the Puyo Puyo and Tetris brands was an instant hit, and it looks like Switch owners were just as eager to dive in once again for the follow-up title.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, which originally came to Switch back in Dec. 2022, has officially reached 3 million sold worldwide. This just goes to show that plenty of titles on Switch have quite the long tail, and something like Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 can be considered an evergreen release.
