Earlier this year, a listing from the Taiwanese ratings board strongly indicated that a Switch version of Outward: Definitive Edition was in development. Fast forward to today, where developer Nine Dots Studio and publisher PLAION have officially announced that the open-world RPG will make its way over to Switch sometime in 2024.

According to the press release, Nine Dots Studio CEO, Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, had “doubts that a Switch version was even possible” but SneakyBox, the studio handling the port, “really pulled a rabbit out of the hat” despite the technical limitations.
