Falcom released Ys X: Nordics, the latest installment in the long-running Ys series, in Japan back in September of this year. Following that launch, Falcom has finally shared some details on how the reception at retail has been.

Falcom President Toshihiro Kondo recently fielded a variety of questions during a financial results briefing, and one in particular was about the sales for Ys X: Nordics. You can see a breakdown of what Kondo had to share on the matter below.

  • PS5 accounted for 50% of sales, Switch accounted for 30%, and PS4 brought in 20%
  • Kondo believe Falcom was “able to reach new players” with the Switch version
  • Kondo reiterated future support for Switch in general

Unfortunately, Kondo didn’t share an overall sales figure for Ys X: Nordics at this time. We’ll just have to hold out for that information on a later date.
