It looks like the start of the month is the perfect time for developers and publishers to share updates on how well their games are doing, and today brings us sales data for three different titles. Thankfully, all of them appear to be doing quite well!

First up is an update on Momotaro Dentetsu World: Chikyuu wa Kibou de Mawatteru!. Last we heard, the game had shipped 1 million units (retail shipments + digital sales) back in December of 2023. Today, we now know that the title has actually sold over 1 million units (retail and digital sales). There’s a difference between shipped and sold, but now we know people are gobbling up all the units making their way to retail!

Next up is Fuga: Melodies of Steel and its sequel. CyberConnect2 has just revealed that the combined sales of Fuga: Melodies of Steel and Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 now sits at 400k worldwide. Both games have been critically acclaimed, and it seems a considerable amount of people agree! Now would be a great time to check out the sequel in particular, as the game’s first wave of DLC has dropped.

Last but not least, Rabbitfoot, Cyberstep’s visual novel brand, has announced that Ultimate Jumbo Jet Satsujin Jiken has already sold 2,000 units. That might not seem like a big deal, but that’s a pretty good figure for a game that hasn’t even released yet! The title was slated to launch on Jan. 25th, 2024, but recently got bumped to March 14th in order to manufacture more physical copies. In other words, the game is selling quicker than anticipated in pre-orders, so now Rabbitfoot is pushing things back to better accommodate the bigger-than-expect audience.
