Back in March of last year, Pokémon Co. opened a Project Snorlax Twitter account, which aimed to “deliver the cuteness, coolness, and loveliness” of Snorlax through a number of different projects. One of those projects has been released today, and it’s a fancy new piece of Snorlax artwork.

Every day between January 22nd and 27th, 2024, the Project Snorlax X account will have a new Snorlax-centric illustration to release. The latest example is the piece above, which features a scene that fans of Pokémon Sword and Shield will no doubt recognize.

Project Snorlax will continue to offer new artwork, along with other Snorlax-specific content. We’ll continue to bring whatever Project Snorlax has to offer until Pokémon Co. decides to end the campaign’s run.

Along with that comes the announcement of a six-part manga that will focus on Snorlax. This manga is being crafted by Drifting Dragons series creator Taku Kuwabara, and it will be called Snorlax’s Dream Gourmet.

Snorlax’s Dream Gourmet focuses on Kumura, a student at Uva Academy who is building a device that turns dreams into sounds. While making her device, Kumura works with a Snorlax to analyze the Pokémon’s dreams. It turns out Snorlax will have different dreams depending on what it eats, leading Kumura to all sorts of discoveries.

You can get a sneak peek at what Snorlax’s Dream Gourmet looks like in the sample manga pages below.
