We’ve been hearing for quite some time that news on the Switch’s successor is imminent. While Nintendo is yet to say anything official, a new report from Bloomberg has come in that supposedly has the inside scoop.

The Bloomberg feature sources information from Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase, who does research on small-to-medium displays for electronics and more. According to Hayase, Nintendo will be releasing the Switch successor sometime in 2024, and it’s going to feature an 8-inch LCD screen. Furthemore, it seems Nintendo will be aiming at releasing roughly 10+ million units in 2024, which should stave off supply issues at launch.

Obviously Nintendo hasn’t confirmed any of this information and likely won’t make a comment on this topic either. That said, with so much rumbling going on lately from some rather trustworthy sources, it does seem like Nintendo will have something to showcase on the hardware front in the near future.

I’ve lived through every dang Nintendo console and I’m hating having to wait for the next one! I just want to know! This is worse than when I was dying to see what was after N64 and reading all about the Dolphin lol!

Bloomberg has been VERY wrong before, so I don't put a lot of faith in this one.

Button size might be important as well.. More interesting will be what the system seller games will be like. It'll be interesting to see what the new Mario Kart will be like.
