As we mentioned last week, Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL just received an update with a host of changes and tweaks. Oddly enough, that update also added in credits for staff that worked on the game. We’re not sure why the credits weren’t there to begin with, but their addition reveals a very notable name involved with the game’s music.

None other than Octopath Traveler composer Yasunori Nishiki contributed music to Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL. It sounds like he was involved with the bulk of the soundtrack, as mentioned by Nishiki on Twitter. Nishiki remained silent on his work for Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL until the credits were added to the game, so it seems he wasn’t allowed to discuss this matter publicly until now.

Octopath Traveler received a ton of praise for its soundtrack, and it brought a lot of notoriety to Yasunori Nishiki. While I might not have any idea how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL, knowing that Nishiki is involved with the soundtrack certainly makes me interested in checking it out!
