Splatoon 3's Side Order DLC and Fresh Season 2024 info-drop for Feb. 19th, 2024

Kiddos and squiddos, we’re less than one week away from the upcoming Side Order DLC expansion for Splatoon 3! Ahead of its release, Nintendo has shared a few more details on what we can expect from this unique challenge, and it seems there’s quite a bit of enticing content to look forward to.

To start things off, Nintendo shared a new look at Side Order’s “Spire of Order,” the big building you’ll be working your way through in this upcoming DLC. Outside of the building are some mysterious creatures that seem to be pretty disheartened by what’s going on around them. Perhaps you can inject them with some life by climbing your way to the top of the Spire? You can get a closer look at some of the inhabitants in the post below.

In the next bit of info, Nintendo reminds players that all is not lost if you get splatted on your way up the Spire of Order.

If you’re splatted while in the Spire of Order, you’ll have to begin again from the bottom. Devastating to be sure, but the color chips you lost will be converted to Prlz, a special currency you can use to unlock permanent upgrades for your future attempts.

Last but not least, Nintendo profiles two more weapons that you’ll be able to get your hands on as part of Fresh Season 2024.

First up we have the Glooga Dualies Deco, which are a decorated version of the Glooga Dualies. Keep tabs on your opponents with the Point Sensor sub weapon before you roll up on them, then punch a hole in their defenses with the Inkzooka special.

After that comes the Nautilus 79, which is gold-plated and 32 more than the Nautilus 47. This version features a Suction Bomb sub weapon and the Splashdown special for when enemies get too close, or you feel like getting spicy.
