A few months back, WayForward and Limited Run Games revealed that they were teaming up for a physical GBA launch of Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution. We now know that pre-orders for package will open on February 23rd, 2024, and there will be two different options to choose from.
First up is the standard release, which is priced at $60 and includes the following:
- GBA cartridge
- game box
- instruction booklet
There’s also the $100 Collector’s Edition that packs in the following:
- Playable Copy of Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution - Embossed Foil Game Box with Gold Cartridge
- Deluxe Foil Box with Foil Slipcover
- Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution Original Soundtrack
- Shiny Gold Cartridge with Magnetic Acrylic Display Frame
- Collectible Coin
- 12” x 16 “ Reversible Poster
- Spinning Enamel Pin
Filling in the gaps between the original Shantae (2002) and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (2010), Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution sees Shantae protecting Sequin Land from a twisted new plot orchestrated by her nemesis, the pirate Risky Boots. Using a secret subterranean device, Risky is able to rotate and rearrange the continent, plunging it into chaos and giving her more costal cities to plunder. Fortunately, by harnessing this technology and the knowledge of the Relic Hunters, players will be able to turn the tables on Risky, giving Shantae new paths through environments and chance to thwart the villain’s scheme.
Last but not least, Shantae fans who get up early tomorrow for pre-orders can snag a free Shantae Monkey or Elephant plush with their collector’s edition while supplies last. Pre-orders go live at 10am Eastern Standard Time, so set an alarm!
