Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is coming out on Switch this week, and it gives you two ways to enjoy this classic PC experience. You can go with the original version, which runs without a hitch on Switch, or you can go with the new Remaster experience. While that version is nearly perfect as well, there is a very slight performance issue that knocks the 60fps down by a few frames. Thankfully, a fix has already been worked on and it’s coming soon.

Nightdive Studios, the team behind Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster, has shared that they’re aware of the framerate issue on Switch, which push the frames down in Remaster mode into the low-to-mod 50s range when action is hot-and-heavy. This was due to two issues behind the scenes, and the devs have already conjured up a patch to remedy the situation.

While we don’t know an exact date for this patch’s release, we do know that it’s complete and coming soon. Once word is shared on the patch’s launch and the full patch notes are revealed, we’ll bring you the complete breakdown.
