Spica Adventure boasts a rather unique journey. Unlike typical arcade origins, it initially debuted on Japanese cell phones in the early 2000s. Its success in the mobile market led to its transition to Japanese arcades, where it garnered significant acclaim and remained exclusively available. However, with its recent SLG release, the arcade game makes its official Western debut, complete with its first-ever English translation.

In the game, players assume the role of Nico, a young girl adorned in vibrant pink attire. Equipped with an extraordinary umbrella reminiscent of the iconic parasol from Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III, Nico embarks on an adventure filled with action and peril. This versatile umbrella serves as the player’s ultimate tool, enabling them to charge at enemies, retaliate, glide across water, bounce off walls, and navigate platforms with agility.

As players progress through the game’s challenging stages, they must use the umbrella’s powers judiciously to overcome obstacles and evade dangers. Each stage is a thrilling race against time, with a countdown timer urging players to complete it swiftly. Should time elapse, a formidable screen-filling robot emerges, leading to an immediate Game Over.

With each conquered stage, players advance to the next mission, ready to face new challenges and adventures. Spica Adventure promises an exhilarating experience for players as they embark on Nico’s journey, armed with her trusty umbrella and boundless determination.
