Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay reopens April 12th, 2024, new merch coming

As we learned back in December, Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay was set to close up shop early this year. The good news is that the store is only being shuttered temporarily, and it’s all in the name of a complete overhaul!

Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay has been closed since Jan 8th, 2024 in order to give the location a top-to-bottom makeover. Last we heard, the Pokémon Center was going to open Spring 2024, but now we have an exact date. Fans in the area can look forward to visiting the refreshed location come April 12th, 2024.

What’s a Pokémon fan to do while Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay is closed? Pokémon Co. has shared that a temporary pop-up location will be opened at the central plaza (1st floor) of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY’s north building.

Last but not least, as you can see in the image at the top of this post, Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay is going to offer some exclusive merch you won’t find anywhere else. This merch is focused on Marill and Ampharos, who serve as the de-facto mascots of Pokémon Center Tokyo Bay.
