Most often when we talk about data leaks, it has to do with a big-name game developer being infiltrated, resulting in user passwords and payment information being stolen. Thankfully, that’s not the case with today’s leak concerning WayForward. That said, the situation is no doubt still frustrating for WayForward, as some of their work from years ago is now making its way online.

An old hard drive from WayForward has somehow made it into a fan’s hands, and it contains data on multiple games and game prototypes that the company was working on between 2009 and 2013. This includes data and assets for games like DuckTales Remastered, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge and more.

Wondering if information on Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, the upcoming GBA/Switch revival game, was included? While the person with the hard drive seems to indicate that there are files related to Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution in his possession, he won’t be sharing them due to the game being planned for release this year.

I was wondering why a 3D Shantae prototype showed up on Youtube and I hadn't heard anything about it yet.
