SMITE X Slipknot collaboration revealed
Let me tell you this before I forget...
There have been some interesting collaborations for SMITE revealed in the past, but I don’t know that any of them are more out-of-left-field than this. Hi-Rez has revealed that they’re teaming with the heavy metal band Slipknot for some SMITE content, and it’s coming this month.
This Slipknot collab will introduce nine skins spread across three different gods. Sid Wilson, Corey Taylor, and Craig Jones are Poseidon skins, Jim Root, Alessandro Venturella, and Mick Thomson are Chaac skins, and Micheal Pfaff, Jay Weinberg, and Clown are Raijin skins.
Furthermore, the SMITE X Slipknot event will include a dynamic music pack, which features “Duality,” “Psychosocial,” and “The Devil In I” in a single music pack. As players get kills or complete objectives, the music pack will play different sections from each song.
More details on this Slipknot collab will be coming from a live-stream event today. We should get specifics on pricing, and hopefully a release date. As of now, we know the content will be made available sometime in May 2022.
