Have you been playing Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection? Rather, have you been trying to play it? You probably noticed a lot of network errors and server issues when trying to connect to a match. Developer Aspyr has now released a statement mentioning they are aware of this and are actively looking to resolve it. Here’s the full statement:

We’d like to thank the Battlefront community for their overwhelming support and feedback for the STAR WARS™ Battlefront Classic Collection release.

At launch, we experienced critical errors with our network infrastructure. The result was incredibly high ping, matchmaking errors, crashes, and servers not appearing in the browser.

Since launch, we’ve been working to address these issues and increase network stability, and we will continue our efforts until our network infrastructure is stabilized to prevent further outages.

Please continue to report bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviors to our support team via our Request Form

The Aspyr Team

For now we just have to hope that they are able to keep their word and fix the ongoing problems.

I reported the invert Y Axis option that is missing in the control options. Apparently was present in the beta but removed before launch. 😑

The game is still fun but I think a lot of players are going to see how this game hasn't aged well. Not to say that it's bad, but other shooters have aged better. I'm confident Aspyr will address some bugs and get the online to an acceptable state. However, other aspects to make this game really shine in 2024 will need aot of work. It would probably just be easier to remake it from the ground up.

That being said, I'm extremely spoiled by 2017's Battlefront II.
