Unreal Engine tech demo shows off new gameplay for STAR WARS: Hunters
Proof that the game is alive!
STAR WARS: Hunters has suffered delay after delay. Believe it or not, the game was originally set to launch in 2021, yet four years later we’re still waiting on it. Many have wondered if the game was actually going to see the light of day, and while that remains to be seen, today we can at least see what the dev team has been up to.
During an Unreal Engine showcase, Zynga took the stage to show off how STAR WARS: Hunters is coming along. While they still didn’t share a release date, we did get a rather detailed look at how the game is coming along. It’s clear a lot of time and effort has gone into the project, and it’s looking better than ever.
In STAR WARS: Hunters, following the end of the Galactic Civil War, the bright lights of The Arena burst into life and offer new heroes a platform to shine across the galaxy. Located deep in the Outer Rim on the planet of Vespaara and broadcast far and wide on the HoloNet, the stories and legends of battles that have defined galactic history are brought to life to entertain audiences and create champions seeking fame and fortune in this new gladiatorial spectacle.
