Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece now informs players of server congestion

As you are no doubt aware, Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece on Switch gives you access to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC). Unfortunately, those are all cloud versions of the games, rather than native ports.

Ever since Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece launched, players have complained of some major lag and connection issues while playing, and Square Enix is keenly aware of the problem. While many were hoping for a fix, it doesn’t seem like that’s happening just yet. Instead, Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece has now been updated to include server congestion icon.

From here on out, when you jump into the main menu for Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece, the game will let you know if servers are experiencing heavy load. That way you can decide if you want to put up with the lag, or skip playing until things are less congested.

One more change was made as well, but it only pertains to Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC). When starting a game from the portal screen, you can now select either “Performance priority” or “Graphics priority” options.
