Sports personality Stephen A. Smith picks his favorite Johto starter

I don’t know what’s going on with Stephen A. Smith lately, but his fans and followers seem to be obsessed with talking to him about Pokémon. Back in January, Smith was asked what his favorite original Pokémon starter was, and now fans are following up with yet another pocket monster question.

For whatever reason, someone reached out to Smith once again, this time to ask him what his favorite Johto-region starter Pokémon was. Smith doesn’t seem to have any clue what he’s talking about, but that doesn’t stop him from making a pick. (I don’t follow sports, but I’m thinking there’s some commentary in there about Smith’s overall sports picks as well!)

I won’t spoil the fun on which Pokémon Smith chooses, but I have a feeling it’ll be somewhat divisive, at least among some fans. Give the video to see his pick, and then offer up your thoughts on why you agree/disagree with the choice!
