Japanese hardware/software sales for March 2024

With March firmly behind us, there’s been more than enough time to crunch the numbers for game sales around the world. Today, we have the breakdown of hardware and software sales in Japan for March 2024. Without further ado, you can read through the top 10 physical game sales of last month below.

• Princess Peach: Showtime! debuted with 105,000 copies sold after two weeks
• 105k is double the 49,000 that Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS launched with
• Technically, Unicorn Overload was the 2nd best-selling game, with 111,000 physical units sold

As for the hardware side of things, here’s how things shaped up in Japan for March 2024.

• Switch was #1, selling 289,673 units; the total for all 3 Switch versions combined
• PS5 was #2, selling 162,281 units

• Nintendo was #1, accounting for 44.3% of all sales last month
• Square Enix was #2
• Atlus was #3
