According to Sakurai, when working with animation, it’s important to consider how to portray fingers. Though they’re small, animating fingers demands quite a lot of processing power, so developers often need to find clever workarounds when possible.

Fingers and hands in general have always been a struggle for artists and animators. Most people working in the field of art will say that portraying hands can often lead to all kinds of troubles. If AI art has proven anything, it’s that even computers have an immense amount of trouble getting hands and fingers right!
