The late, great Satoru Iwata, former president of Nintendo, left us back in July 2015 after losing a battle with cancer. While the man may be long gone, his ideas and wisdom remain with Nintendo and its fans to this very day. Perhaps that’s more true today than ever before, as a decades-old piece of Iwata history has popped up online for the first time. (h/t VGC)

20 years after it was originally recorded, a video interview with Satoru Iwata has been released online in full. The feature is roughly 30 minutes long, and while a short piece of it was released in the past, this is the first time the entire interview has been shared start to finish. It’s bittersweet to see something like this come about, as it certainly makes us miss Iwata more, but it’s lovely to have something new from him to enjoy.

As the video comes from 2004, Iwata shares a lot of comments that pertain to games and gaming in that era. You can see the timestamps below to get an idea of what Iwata discusses in the video.
