HYPERCHARGE Unboxed came to the Switch all the way back in 2020, but sadly it’s been roughly a year since the game received an update. This has led fans to wondering if anything else is coming down the pipeline for the game. The good news is that big content is coming, but the bad news is that we’ll have to wait.

HYPERCHARGE Unboxed developer Digital Cybercherries has just announced that a crossplay update is coming to the game, and it’s going to land on Xbox and PC first. That’s happening on May 31st for those platforms, but Switch owners will need quite the supply of patience while waiting for this update.

According to the HYPERCHARGE Unboxed Discord, the dev team has said that the Switch version of the game will receive a massive update, but it’s not coming until next year at the earliest. As for what the update will include besides crossplay, Switch owners can look forward to an engine update, optimizations and more.

We’ll keep tabs on this situation to see how things play out, but long story short, get ready to do a lot of waiting.
