We don’t have the full breakdown for the weekly software charts in the UK just yet, but we do have information on which title took home the top spot this week.

While EA Sports FC 24 and Hogwart’s Legacy have been jockeying the 1 and 2 positions for awhile now, this week sees Mario take top honors. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door managed to land right in the #1 position for the weekly charts, showing that people were quite eager to give this revived GameCube classic another go.

We don’t have sales numbers to share specifically, but we do have some context. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door debuted higher than Super Mario RPG on Switch, while also basically matching the launch of Paper Mario: The Origami King. That’s definitely a wonderful result for the game, and remember that the UK charts only include the physical side of things. There’s no doubt thousands jumped in on the digital front as well.
