We’ve known for a few weeks now that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was going to get a rather significant patch on Switch. The Switch version of this new RPG arrived in rather rough shape, but the dev team pledged to fix things up asap. The first proof of that will come in a patch set to arrive early June.

Ahead of the patch’s release, the dev team has shared some notes on what Switch players can expect. Here’s everything you’ll find tucked inside this update:

  • “Performance Mode”, “Graphics Mode”, and “Balanced Mode” added under Graphics Settings in Options.
  • Hotfix 1.3 and 1.4 fixes, which have already been released for other platforms.

For a breakdown of what Hotfix 1.3 and 1.4 included, you can read on below.

Hotfix 1.3

  • Party members no longer disappear if you are playing as Seign at chapter 6, switch the viewpoint character to Nowa and enter a free-scenario event battle with Liufan, and then switches back to Seign. (EHH-10739)
  • The game softlocks if you attempt to switch characters at the Rune Shop -> Change Rune screen when there is only one battle member in the party.(EHH-10717)
  • Introducing graphics option to improve the game’s framerate. FPS30 is expected in most areas. (Switch only)
  • Improved stability around the Headquarters area. (Switch only)

Hotfix 1.4

  • Fixed progression issue that occurs in the main story event if your HQ’s development level is 2 or up.
  • Fixed score calculations in Cook Battles.
  • Fixed accessory item UI.
  • Fixed an issue in which the game occasionally softlocks when you are playing as Marisa and drop out from the giant cogs in the Castle Harganthia.
  • Fixed an issue in which players can access Norristar area earlier than intended in the 2nd playthrough.
  • Fixed minor loc issues.

UPDATE: This patch is now live. If you have Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, fire up your Switch and this patch should auto-update.
