Ikki Unite and SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection getting Switch physical releases in Japan

Earlier in the week, SUNSOFT teased that they had an announcement to share today. Now we know what secret they were holding back, and it’s a big win for physical game fans.
SUNSOFT has announced that both Ikki Unite and SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection are getting physical Switch releases in Japan. Ikki Unite is set to launch Sept. 19th while SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection will be out Oct. 10th, 2024. Fans will have both standard and limited editions to choose from.
The Ikki Unite standard edition is priced at 3,960 yen, and the limited edition comes in at 10,978 yen. Here’s what’s tucked inside the limited edition:
- Gonbe plush mascot
- a scroll
- folding fan
- original soundtrack CD
- special tsuzura box and Famicom-style sleeve
SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection standard edition is priced at 3,960 yen, and the limited edition sits at 9,878 yen. Here’s what the limited edition offers fans:
