Crane games, claw machines, no matter what you call them, we’ve all had our fun with the games of chance from time to time. Who doesn’t enjoy spending a dollar or two to try and win themselves a plush to bring home? Over in Japan, crane games are all the rage, and fans of the arcade machines and Kingdom Hearts are about to have a bunch of new goodies to play for.

Bandai Namco has announced that they’ve teamed with Square Enix for a new line of Kingdom Hearts merch, and it’ll be up for grabs in Namco amusement centers across Japan starting June 7th, 2024. The only way to get these items is by playing crane games, so hopefully you’ve got some skill with these money-grabbers.

The lineup of new merch includes the following:

  • Hanging mascots of Roxas, Xion, and Axel
  • Multipurpose clear cases with acrylic charms based on five games (358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts Chi, and Kingdom Hearts 3)
  • Acrylic smartphone stands based on all original Organization XIII members (Xemnas, Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Saix, Axel, Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene, Roxas)

Those who spend a total of 500 yen on eligible crane games can also net themselves a random clear card containing a Kingdom Hearts game scene. In other words, even if you spend money and don’t win anything in a crane game, you can still take home a bit of Kingdom Hearts merch!
