Death of a Wish dev says the game is intense, but sincere
It's more than just cults
Death of a Wish is described as a vicious action-RPG where style is salvation. You play as Christian as he unites with new comrades to challenge the cult that raised him. By taking down the four Sanctum Faiths: Father, Sister, Cardinal, and Priest, they will upend the order of the world. Hopefully you’re ready to fight your way through a nightmare filled with horrifying monsters and terrifying people.
As you can tell, Death of a Wish isn’t a game to shy away from serious topics and harsh depictions, but there’s much more to the game than that. In an interview with Game Rant, Death of a Wish’s creator melessthanthree wanted people to know that what lies beneath is well worth exploration.
I want people to know it’s a very sincere game, even in its intensity. We are not trying to shock and offend people for the purpose of shocking and offending.
