Dataminer finds evidence of Ghostface DLC for Mortal Kombat 1

With every Mortal Kombat game comes rumors of DLC characters. The talk is usually split between Mortal Kombat characters and special cameos, and today brings us the latter. There have been rumblings of a famous big screen horror icon joining Mortal Kombat 1, and now it seems there’s evidence to back it up.

Dataminer Interloko has been combing through audio files for the game, which led them to giving a listen to the audio for Mileena. Among the many, many clips for Mileena is a section that appears to reveal her talking to none other than Ghostface from the Scream movie franchise. You can hear the clips in the video above at the 5:18 and 5:21 marks.

There’s been quite a bit of speculation about Ghostface joining Mortal Kombat 1 for awhile now, but this is the first time we’ve had some cold-hard evidence to point in that direction. Obviously, nothing is confirmed until Warner Bros. or Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon says so, but it’s certainly hard to consider this discovery as anything other than a smoking gun.
