Pokémon GO "Scorching Steps" event announced

The next Pokémon GO event has been announced, and it’s just a couple of weeks away!

The Pokémon GO Scorching Steps event runs Friday, June 21, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. As for the event bonuses you can expect, they include the following:

• 2× Candy from hatching Eggs.
• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.
• Increased chance to encounter and hatch Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo.

Larvesta will be available to hatch from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs, if you’re very lucky. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, especially fortunate Trainers might hatch Shiny Larvesta! The following Pokémon will hatch from Eggs.

2 km Eggs:

• Growlithe
• Slugma
• Houndour
• Magby
• Larvesta

5 km Eggs:

• Hisuian Growlithe
• Darumaka
• Litwick
• Larvesta
• Litleo

10 km Eggs:

• Larvesta
• Turtonator
• Charcadet

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available! The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks!

• Slugma
• Litleo
• Turtonator

Event-themed Timed Research will be available throughout the event. Hatch Eggs to earn Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops where you can enter event-themed Pokémon!
