Nintendo’s been making a conscious effort to plug up leaks as of late but if rumors are to be believed this latest leak might be of Nintendo’s own doing.

A Reddit user by the name of Pokemigas has seemingly spotted a mess up on the Portuguese Nintendo Switch eShop.

As seen above, a new banner advertising the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Library seems to have accidentally gone live showcasing that many Game Boy Mega man games are on the way. Reportedly the banner was only up for an hour before being taken down.

Nintendo has secured other third party titles such as Castlevania Legends for the Game Boy library so it doesn’t seem too far fetched that Mega Man might be next to make the jump. Considering the impending Nintendo Direct, it would certainly make sense to announce all these titles during the presentation.

That said, take this all with a grain of salt. An image like this could very easily be faked especially considering that only one person is reporting on this supposed oversight. Given that Nintendo’s June Direct is coming any day now it’s safe to assume we’ll have our answer sooner rather than later.

It would have been nice to have been surprised by this this morning instead of reading about it yesterday. Maybe in the future you guys could say "Rumored games coming to switch online" or something more vague. You'll still get your clicks, and the rest of us can enjoy one of the few surprises we're able to get each year. Shadow drops for NSO are fun. Spoiling them is not.

@jmaldonado

You guys run with spoilers like this and then wonder why Nintendo is so protective and litigious. At LEAST say "rumored mega man game coming to switch" or something less on the nose? Please? Nice surprises are one of the few sources of joy left in this world.
