Masahiro Sakurai is back yet again with another installment in his game development video series, and this episode slots into the “Graphics” category.

According to Sakurai, sometimes one particular part of a game requires in-depth supervision to get right. It can take a lot of work to change something for the better—and today, Sakurai would like to show you an example of how true that can be.

For this video, Sakurai focuses in on a destructible wall found in the Mishima Dojo stage. While it might seem like a simple project to tackle, this one area proved incredible difficult to get right. It took a lot of fine-tuning, patience and talented team members to achieve the end result, but Sakurai clearly found the work to be worth it!
