Dead by Daylight's 'Memento Mori' system getting a rework

Memento Moris in Dead by Daylight are a type of Offering featured in Dead by Daylight. The Memento Mori Offerings grant the Killers the ability to kill Survivors by their own hands, bypassing the sacrifice process.

This system has been a part of Dead by Daylight since day one, but Behaviour has announced that they’re taking on a complete rework for how the Memento Mori system works. We won’t see the new system debut until around Halloween 2022, but we do have information on what to expect.

Specifically, the dev team has said that the mori system is going to move away from offerings and make it a more natural part of the game. As soon as the final living Survivor standing is put into the dying state, the game ends. Following a visual transition, that Survivor and the Killer are brought to a special location in the environment and the Mori Finisher begins. This will make sure these cinematic moments aren’t blocked by pieces of scenery.
