Sonic the Hedgehog 2 streaming and Blu-ray/DVD dates shared, additional animated short revealed

If you’ve been looking forward to enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from the comfort of your own home, you don’t have long to wait at all! The streaming and physical release dates for the film have been revealed, and one is much sooner than you think!

For those who have Paramount+ or want to make a digital purchase, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be available tomorrow! Yes, you read that right. In less than 24 hours, you’ll be able to fire up the film on your digital platform of choice.

It’s worth noting that those who go with the digital purchase will get some extra goodies. Most notably, it seems the digital release is going to include a new animated short called ‘Sonic Drone Home.’ You can see a quick teaser for that below.

If you prefer to own your films physically, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 comes to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on August 9th, 2022. As of right now, we don’t know what bonuses will be included with these physical releases.
