Minecraft's Allay mob and Deep Dark biome showcased

The next big update for Minecraft will be the Wild update, and Mojang is teasing some of the content players will get to dive into in the near future. In particular, Mojang has revealed some footage of the new mob, the Allay, and the new biome, the Deep Dark.

The Allay is a new mob that will join you on your journey should you find it and set it free. It can aid you by hunting down items, and it’ll search out more of whatever item you give it. It also has quite a fondness for music!

As for the new biome, the Deep Dark will take you on a perilous subterranean journey where you can marvel at the mysterious sculk, and get lost in the sprawling ancient cities. It’s recommended that you keep quiet while exploring, as you don’t want to attract the nasties hiding in the depths!
