Strictly Limited Games, through a partnership with QUByte and PIKO Interactive, have announced that the 1990s cult classic Jim Power: The Lost Dimension is getting a Switch release, alongside reprints for the NES and SNES. Pre-orders for the physical versions will open on May 29th, 2022.

In Jim Power: The Lost Dimension, the evil alien Vaprak is threatening to destroy the earth, which is the last planet that stands between it and the entry to the 5th dimension. If Vaprak succeeds, his species will flood the galaxy and all will be lost. It is up to Jim Power to infiltrate and slay the evil. Originally released in the ‘90s, Jim Power was hailed for its outstanding graphics and challenging gameplay. Now Jim is back and ready to do it all over again.

The Switch version of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension includes the NES version of the game, developed from scratch by PIKO Interactive, along with the SEGA Genesis version, which never actually saw release.

The Limited Edition is limited to 2,000 copies, and is priced at $35. This gets you a standard game box and a copy of the game.

The Special Limited Edition is limited to 1,000 copies, and is priced at $55. This package includes the following:

  • Special Limited Edition Box
  • Reversible Cover
  • Original Soundtrack on 2 CDs
  • Anaglyphic 3D Glasses
  • Double-sided Artwork Poster (A3 / 42 x 29,7 cm)
  • Jim Power Replica Flyer ( A5 / 21 x 14,8 cm)
  • Lenticular Card (A6 / 14,8 x 10,5 cm)
  • Sticker
  • Colorful Game Manual

The retro re-releases of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension include the NES version built from scratch, an enhanced version of the SNES game, and a previously-unreleased Genesis version. The SNES versions will have 149 PAL and 222 NTSC copies, while the NES and Genesis versions will have 333 copies. All of these versions are priced at $55

Finally, if you want to get all the retro games in one package, you can get a Jim Power bundle that is priced at $155. There are just 33 PAL and 66 NTSC units of this bundle to go around.
