Some time ago, Chucklefish confirmed that a German & EU Spanish localization was in the works for Eastward. Fans have been wondering how those translations were coming along, and in a new update from Chucklefish, we get some details.

Unfortunately, it seems fans looking forward to those localizations will have to wait quite a bit longer. Chucklefish’s full comments on the matter can be seen below.

As you know, in March we shared news that the upcoming German & EU Spanish localisation update had been delayed due to the Shanghai lockdown: sadly, the Pixpil dev team is still in lockdown with no access to their office, dev kits or servers.

Although the German & EU Spanish translation is complete, the team can’t implement the translation into the game, finish localisation QA process or push the update live due to this lockdown situation. We know this is frustrating, but as soon as the lockdown finishes, we will finalize the localisation update asap for the Eastward community.

We truly appreciate your patience and support here, and we will keep you posted with more info soon!
