Unlike other game devs and pubs, Pokémon Company is private and doesn’t have to disclose its full financial results. That said, some abridged versions of Pokémon Co.’s results have been posted in the Kanpō, the official gazette of the Japanese government. What we can see shows that the company had quite stellar fiscal year indeed.

According to Kanpō data, the Pokémon Company’ saw sales of ¥204 billion ($1.6 billion) and a net profit of ¥41 billion ($322 million) for this fiscal year. According to Dr Serkan Toto of Kantan Games, these figures make for a “record financial year,” with net profit up 123% year-on-year.

With this fiscal year including New Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it’s no surprise things went so well for Pokémon Co.!
