Top 20 UK software sales for May 2022

With May officially a week behind us, we have some more sales stats to crunch for the month. The top 20 software titles for May 2022 in the UK have come in, and you can see that, plus some other sales notes below.

• over 1.6 million games, 100,000 games consoles and 460,000 accessories were sold
• sales were down 22% over May last year
• 1.63 million digital and physical games were sold during May
• game sales are down 32% compared to April
• LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was #1, but fell 87% month-on-month
• Nintendo Switch Sports was #1 in terms of physical sales only
• console sales are down 38.3% so far this year
• Switch sales are down 3% month-on-month
• console sales are up 16% (month-on-month) in May
• accessories were down 10% over April and 24.4% over May last year
• the Switch Leg Strap jumped up to #13 in accessories
