RUMOR: Epic working on first-person mode for Fortnite

Fortnite has been a third-person multiplayer battle royale experience for years now, but rumor has it Epic is looking to change up at least one big element of the action; the viewpoint.

Rumor has it that Epic is toying with the idea of a first-person camera option for Fortnite, and you can see the early results of that in the image above. While a change of view might seem like nothing big, tweaking a game to play from a completely different perspective takes a ton of work.

Even if Epic is working on this idea, it doesn’t mean it’ll get implemented. Things could happen during development that could prove the viewpoint change simply doesn’t work, so the idea could be scrapped. We’ll just have to hang tight and see how things pan out.
