For a number of years, Bayonetta fans were worried that Bayonetta 3 was going through development hell. Platinum Games assured fans over and over that things were going well, and finally, just a few months back, we saw a brand-new trailer for the game. Furthermore, we learned that the title would be seeing release in 2022.

Of course, as soon as fans heard that news, they wanted to know just when in 2022 the game was launching. We don’t have that info yet, but we do have a glimmer of hope that we’ll be hearing more soon.

Eagle-eyed Bayonetta fans over on Reddit noticed that Bayonetta 3’s listing on the Nintendo Store page jumped all the way up to the top spot. This is the first time that’s happened with the game. The title still shows a vague 2022 date, but just the rejiggering of the game’s placement on the store page has some fans hopeful that big news is right around the corner.

Hey, Nintendo…if you were planning on making a Nintendo Direct announcement, now would be a lovely time to do so!

They also removed then added the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition with a TBD. Their store is still kinda messed up, though I did finally get my order in for the Mario Strikers bag.
